Concept
I wanted to illustrate a cafe space catered to artists and create a character to fit into that space. As an artist cafe, there are easels for painting and drawing stations, and colorful interior design and art filling the walls.
Character Design
I sketched out different characters then combined the best elements (overalls, wide-leg pants, shoulder-length hair) into the final design.
Style
I experimented with different styles for the final look, more painterly and more flat color.
