This poster shows the chaos and adventure of Men on Boats. The upside-down boat is contrary to what you’d expect for a boat scene. It defies expectations just like the theme of the play. The boat represents the world being turned upside down. Boats in the play tip over, so there is foreshadowing in the poster that isn’t necessarily noticeable before watching it. I wanted to show that the play was different from other productions and challenge presumptions from the title.
